Marcello and his family not only bring an authentic and well documented lineage of Gracie Jiu Jitsu to Pace, FL but a unique style of teaching that focuses on personal development, growth, family, and community.
Professor Marcello's training started in March 2003 in one of the greatest competition schools in the world, Alliance Head Quarters in Atlanta, Georgia under 7th Degree Black Belt Romero "Jacare" Calvacanti. Since then Marcello has continued to practice and teach Jiu Jitsu in many parts of the world from civilians to military personnel. Professor Marcello received his black belt in 2011 by Hall of Fame World Champion Jiu Jitsu Competitor, Professor Alexandre "Xande" Ribeiro. In 2014 Marcello received his 1st degree black belt by World Champion Jiu Jitsu Competitor Raphael "Gordinho" Correa Lima. Following, in 2017, his 2nd degree was presented to him by Master Pedro Sauer.
Coach Jasmin has been training in Gracie Jiu Jitsu for six years, earning her purple belt in 2017. She has helped develop Children's Competition Team programs, as well as programs for Women's Self-defense. Jasmin's passion now is to give back to the Pace community where she raises her children, fostering health and wellness. She is a natural-born teacher, with experience tutoring students from elementary to college.
